It seems to me this blog is more about trying to eat out less. I was wondering what basic ingredients you have in your pantry. Do you have flour and sugar? Could you make scones or biscuits instead of continually buying baked goods? (Although you’d have to buy more expensive butter from the market.) It’s easier to stretch your money by buying greens and making a lot of salads. If you had red wine vinegar or white wine vinegar, as well as olive oil, you could make your own vinaigrette. If you already slipped on your project, I would think about just going to a grocery to get the basics for your pantry. I love meat and dairy, but I would also consider not buying meat and fish every time you go to the farmers’ market because it kills your bank account. If you don’t want to go to a grocery, then you could make hearty vegetarian dishes like ratatouille.
I think that your meals sounded delicious, especially dinner. I’d like to try that!
